The Traditional Village of Wae Rebo on the Island of Flores

Wae Rebo is a small, very out of the way village. Situated on around 1,100 meters above sea level and approximately 3 – 4 hour travel by foot from Denge Village. Wae Rebo is completely surrounded by panoramic mountains and the dense Todo forest. This tropical forest is rich in vegetation, where you will find orchids, different types of ferns and hear the chirping of many songbirds. There is also no mobile coverage in this village, and the electricity is only available from 6 to 10 pm. The air is relatively cold, especially in the dry season.

Day 01. Denpasar – Labuan Bajo – Denge village
Morning flight from Denpasar to Labuan Bajo (West Flores), Upon arrival you will be met by our Guide and drive to Denge village. You will stop at Lembor for having lunch, after lunch continued to Denge village. It will be long driving 6 hours from Labuan bajo to Denge village. Along driving you will enjoy the beautiful view. Dinner and overnight at Denge Homestay

Day 02.  Denge – Waerebo traditional village
After having breakfast, you will start trekking from denge to  the village of waerebo, it will take about 3 hours trekking you will pass the coffee plantation in the forest before arrive the village. Wae Rebo is an old Manggarai village, situated in pleasant, isolated mountain scenery. The village offers visitors a unique opportunity to see Manggarai traditional house and to experience the everyday life of the local community. In the village of Wae Rebo, visitors can see Mbaru niang – traditional, circular cone-shaped houses with very unique architecture.
You will spend the night in the mbaru niang, and to socialize and dine with the Wae Rebo community. You will sleep on a tikar, a woven mat made out of pandanus leaf, in the mbaru niang, and get a taste of how life used to be when the extended families still lived their lives under one roof.

Day 03. Wae Rebo – Labuan Bajo
After breakfast, trekking down back to Denge village where the Driver waiting for you and the continue drive to Lodok to see the spiderweb rice field. After that proceed to Lembor for having lunch then continue drive through to Labuan Bajo, diner and overnight at Labuan Bajo.

Day 04. Labuan Bajo – Kelor Island – Manjarite Island – Flying Fox island
After having breakfast at your hotel, our guide will pick you up and ready to take you embark to the boat for an excursion 3 days. For the first day you will visit Kelor island as the spot for snorkeling, swimming, enjoy on the beach and hiking on the top of kelor island, enjoy the beautiful scenery of flores island and surroundings, then continue to Manjarite Island as the spot for snorkeling as well. In trhe afternoon stop at Kaba island to see and witness thousand of flying fox flew out from mangrove island while enjoy the sunset from the boat. Overnight on The boat.

Day 05. Padar island – Pink beach – Komodo Island – Taka Makasar – Manta Point
In Early morning you will do the trekking on the summit of Padar island to catch the sunrise. Padar island is one of the famous island with the beautiful scenery of three different beaches. After trekking the boat sail to pink beach where you can enjoy on the pink beach, snorkeling on the beautiful coral then continue visit Komodo island to see the Biggest lizard Komodo dragon and other wild life, you will be accompanied by the ranger and the guide during trekking in the forest. Continue to Taka makasar enjoy on the beautiful white sandy beach then after snorkeling in Manta point where you will have chance if you are lucky to see a group of manta ray play swim with Manta on the surface. Overnight on the boat.

Day 06. Kanawa – labuan bajo
After having breakfast, you will do snorkeling on beautiful coral, the site of Kanawa island you also can enjoy on the white sandy beach of Kanawa island. After that sailing back to Labuan Bajo and drive to airport for your flight to Bali
